Week 10

Grow n Go

This was Hauraki's last week at Grown n Go. It was a blustery day but the gardeners managed to get the new potato bed ready, the other bed is sprouting already! We ground wheat into wholemeal flour, this was very taxing as they had to go through the grinder multiple times. We put some pine needles around the strawberries and planted some peas. Meanwhile, in the kitchen, the chefs were making banana and date muffins with whipped cream, revived bread with herb dip and herbal tea.  It has been an amazing term, and we are very lucky to have the wonderful ladies Hadas, Dorothy and Simone teaching us how to repurpose and grow our own food.

Friday Fun Theme - Dress-ups from around the world

Our own hybrid games - Three legged netball and Raceball (rugby baseball)

These were so much harder to play then we thought! Thanks to Maisie and Catelyn for your game ideas

Musical Performances

Well done to all of the students who bravely performed their musical talents to the seniors on Thursday. We had piano solos, singing, drums and guitar. Then they all came together as The Schoolies to perform some numbers. Here is a snippet.
